MAC & Baptist Health South Florida Present “VACUNATE!”: Myth Busting Edition

MAC’s “¡VACUNATE!” campaign in partnership with Baptist Health South Florida, UnidosUS, iCare Mobile Medicine and Miami Dade College Medical Campus hosted, “¡VACUNATE!”: Myth Busting Edition, COVID-19 vaccine informational webinars in both English and Spanish.

The “¡VACUNATE!” webinars focused on dispelling vaccine misinformation through Q&A from Dr. Charles Augustus, MD at Baptist Health South Florida, Dr. Dadilia Garces, MD and Epidemiologist at Miami Dade College Medical Campus and Marisol Piedra, RN, Patient Care Supervisor from Baptist Health South Florida. Through the webinars, medical professionals emphasized the efficacy and safety of the vaccines and urged the importance of getting vaccinated.

The “VACUNATE!” campaign aims to inform and educate the Latino community on COVID-19 vaccines, while building vaccine confidence. A main focus of the campaign is to help dispel misinformation by distributing factual messaging backed by the CDC and local medical professionals.
